Mortar is replacing the Accumula app. The Accumula team spent the last 12 months on Mortar, making it more powerful and easier to use.
Mortar will be available on the Shopify App Store very soon. To migrate to Mortar, simply install the Mortar app from the Shopify app store. Mortar will automatically link to your existing Accumula account. Just press Activate and you are done.
Once installed, you will be able to take advantage of new streamlined workflows and easier troubleshooting, all within Shopify.
ⓘ Note Mortar is currently being reviewed by Shopify and will be available soon. All existing Accumula accounts must install Mortar once available.
Mortar is twice as fast as Accumula, especially when processing inventory updates and orders.
The language and function of tags have changed. Mortar calls them Action Tags. Each one directly reflects the product result in Shopify.
Moving forward, simply use the "add" tag instead of "accumula", "shopify", "online", or "webstore". No need to update the tags on existing products.

It is no longer necessary to tag a product to link it to an existing product in Shopify. Each time an unlinked product is updated, Mortar automatically tries to find a matching product in Shopify. This includes products configured differently in each system; a single product in your source can link to a Shopify variant, for example.

Finding related info in your inventory source is now possible from within Shopify. On any product, variant, order, or customer in Shopify, select the More action menu, then choose Mortar's "View in inventory source" shortcut. The corresponding page in your POS will open automatically in a new tab.

It is now simple to resync products or inventory from within Shopify. On any product, variant, or the product list in Shopify, select the More actions menu, then choose Mortar's "Resync product details" or "Resync inventory" shortcut.
Order routing now updates the order location assignments in Shopify, so the routing in Shopify and your source is consistent. Shopify no longer charges for locations, so all source locations should be mapped to Shopify, one-to-one. If a location is not mapped between source and Shopify, it will show as "Inactive," and orders and inventory in that location will be ignored.
Product options are now synced with the option's name. So if your product uses custom option names, like flavor, length, weight, etc., Mortar will create the product on Shopify with the custom option names.
ⓘ Note Legacy users should keep update options turned off to prevent overwriting existing product option values.
Our new billing plans can be managed right within the Mortar app. You can change your plan, add a location, or switch from monthly to yearly billing at your convenience. Your account permissions will be updated automatically.
